Colon Hydrotherapy
Colon Hydrotherapy (also known as colonics, colonic irrigation, colon cleanse, and colonic therapy) is a gentle, safe, and effective method to cleanse and remove the accumulated toxic waste material from the colon, without the use of drugs or chemicals.
It is one of the most effective means of cleansing and detoxifying the colon. By gently introducing warm, filtered water into the colon, the waste is softened and loosened, resulting in evacuation through natural peristalsis. The inflow of water and the release of waste is repeated several times during a session.
Colon Hydrotherapy not only cleanses the 5 feet of the colon, but also hydrates, and encourages more regular bowel movements by strengthening and toning the colon muscle. Most clients find colon hydrotherapy to be both comfortable and relaxing. They often report leaving with an increased feeling of wellbeing, more energy, lighter, refreshed, and revitalized.
At Radiance Cleansing Center we use the Hydro-San closed colon hydrotherapy system. Our FDA approved state-of-the-art colonic equipment ensures you an easy, odorless, and safe way of eliminating. This equipment features temperature controlled water mixing and backflow prevention valves, pressure and temperature sensors, a three-stage water filtration/purification system and a built-in chemical sanitizing unit.
The entire system is enclosed. Waste material is removed through a closed waste disposal tube.
This sophisticated technology promotes both the safety and sanitation of this popular cleansing practice.
We only use disposable supplies and maintain the highest standards of hygiene through out our center.
Why should I be concerned about my colon?
A clean, healthy, and well functioning colon is essential to overall health and wellness. The colon is the sewer system of the body. It is the place where we store the waste material that we would rather not think about and most of us don’t until our health becomes poor or we experience constipation or diarrhea.
Waste material, especially that which has accumulated in the colon over a long period of time, can cause the body to become overloaded with toxins. This build-up of toxins can end up in the bloodstream, affecting every organ, and leaving you feeling ill, tired or weak. Furthermore, the build-up of old fecal and toxic waste can impair the colon’s ability of proper digestion, absorption of vital nutrients, and the elimination of waste.
In today’s world we are exposed to numerous toxins. Due to the typical American diet, many of us are eating high-fat, low-fiber, poor quality processed foods. Exposing our bodies to chemicals, pesticides, preservatives, and hormones. We are exposed to toxins in the water we drink, in the air we breathe, in the products we use, and the list goes on. If we are not eliminating sufficiently, our bodies can become overburdened from this toxic overload.
Colonics allow the body to rid itself of this toxic waste assisting the body’s efforts in maintaining a healthy well-being. While colon hydrotherapy is not a cure, it is a valuable means of cleansing the colon, which may reduce the risk of illness and disease.
“Every tissue is fed by the blood, which is supplied by the intestinal system. When the intestines are dirty, the blood is dirty and so are the organs and tissues. It is the intestinal system that has to be cared for first before any effective healing can take place”
Dr. Bernard Jensen
What is a colon hydrotherapy session like?
A typical colon hydrotherapy session lasts approximately 45 minutes, but you should allow one hour for your total appointment. During the session you will be lying on a comfortable treatment table. You will be wearing a gown and once a small disposable speculum is inserted into the rectum, you are completely covered.
During the session, a skilled colon hydrotherapist will administer fills of water and releases of waste as well as various techniques to help dislodge toxic waste matter from the colon. The inflow of water and release of waste is repeated several times during the session. The water temperature and pressure are controlled by the therapist and can be varied at your comfort level and to stimulate peristalsis. Warm filtered water flows into the colon through a small inflow tube and the waste is eliminated from the colon through a separate waste outflow tube.
This is a closed system so you can rest assured that there is no odor to be concerned about. Your dignity and modesty are always maintained.
